Street of Glendale Arizona at Night

James you are very good at capturing images in the category of new urban topographic. This night image has great leading lines. The street markings lead the viewer towards the sunset. The row of street lights on the right side do the same thing as do the trees on each side of the street. The placement of the street marking in the center of the image force me to follow the line into the distance. The line also splits the photograph in two and invites me to view the photograph as two separate images that are almost but not quite mirror images. The blue sky of nature is repeated in the blue of the window sign. Good job James!

I really like this photograph. It is one that I have thought about long after I first viewed it. The colors in the sky compliment the lights and buildings of old town Glendale so beautifully. Linear perspective is also a big factor in this photo. It pulls you in and makes you feel as though you are standing in the middle of this street looking down the street. Then you are pulled back by the beautiful sky. Gorgeous!!
